There is a reason the KONG Classic has been in most dog owners' houses for decades. It is a lump of red natural rubber shaped like a snowman, hollow in the middle, and it does three jobs better than toys that cost twice as much. Stuff it with peanut butter, kibble or a KONG treat and it keeps an average chewer busy for a good while, working the food out a bit at a time. Throw it and the odd shape gives it an unpredictable bounce that turns fetch into a chase. Leave it lying around and it is a satisfying chew that helps clean teeth and gums along the way.
KONG's red natural rubber formula is designed for average chewers and it is tough enough to handle daily use without being so hard that it is unpleasant to chew. It is made in the USA from non toxic materials, it goes in the dishwasher, and it freezes well: pack it with wet food or yoghurt, freeze it overnight and hand it over when you need half an hour of peace. Vets and trainers recommend it for crate training, separation anxiety and boredom for the same reason.
Which rubber? KONG makes the Classic shape in four rubber formulas, from soft to firm. Puppy (blue or pink) is for teething pups, Senior (purple) is a gentler rubber for older jaws, Classic (red, this one) is for average chewers, and Extreme (black) is for power chewers who destroy most toys. If your dog is a normal, enthusiastic chewer, red is the one. If they are a shredder, go black.
Which size? Go by your dog's weight and, when in doubt, size up. The toy should be too big to fit fully in their mouth, and in a house with more than one dog, buy for the largest.

Which size should I get?
This listing is the Large, about 10 cm tall, which KONG recommends for dogs from 13 to 30 kg. That covers Border Collies, Staffies, Labradors, Kelpies, Huskies and most Golden Retrievers. The toy should be too big for your dog to fit fully in its mouth. If in doubt, size up.
What can I put inside it?
Almost anything your dog can eat: peanut butter (xylitol free), kibble, wet food, mashed banana, plain yoghurt, or KONG's own paste and biscuits. For a longer lasting treat, fill it and freeze it overnight. Start with easy fillings so your dog learns how it works.
Is it tough enough for my dog?
The red KONG Classic is made for average chewers and holds up well to daily use. If your dog is a serious power chewer who destroys most toys, the black KONG Extreme uses a tougher rubber formula. Whichever you choose, check the toy regularly and replace it if pieces come away.
How long until my order arrives?

How do I track my order?
You'll get a tracking number by email within 24 hours of dispatch. Follow it on our Order Tracking page. Tracking often sits still for a week or so while your parcel is in international transit. That's normal.
What is your return policy?

My item arrived faulty or damaged. What now?
Email us photos within 30 days of delivery and we'll replace it or refund you in full, your choice. In most cases you won't need to post anything back.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, within 24 hours of placing it. Just email our customer service team with your order number. After 24 hours your order has usually gone to our supplier, but you can still return it under our returns policy once it arrives.
