Description & Specifications
Plenty of dogs hate having their nails clipped. This board turns nail care into something they choose to do. The top is covered in black sandpaper, and every time your dog scratches at it the claws are filed down a little. Most dogs learn the game quickly when there is a reward hidden underneath.
The reward lives in a drawer. Pull the small cord loop and a sandpaper-topped drawer slides out to the side, opening a square treat compartment 2.5 cm deep. Drop a treat in, close it, and let your dog scratch to earn it. The solid wooden base sits flat on the floor, and at 35 x 25 cm there is room for a big dog's paw as well as a small one.

How do I teach my dog to use it?
Put a treat on the board and reward any paw touch. Then hold a treat just above the board so your dog paws at it, and reward each scratch. Once they have the idea, hide the treat in the drawer and open it after a few good scratches. Short daily sessions work best.
Will it file the back nails too?
The board mainly files the front nails, because that is where dogs scratch. Some owners hold the board upright against a wall for back paws, but most dogs will still need the back nails trimmed now and then.
Is it big enough for a large dog?
Yes. The top is 35 x 25 cm, so a Labrador's paw, about 6 cm across, has plenty of room. Lay it on a non-slip surface or against a wall so it stays put while a big dog scratches hard.
How long until my order arrives?
Roughly 12 to 20 business days all up: 2 to 3 days for us to process your order, then 10 to 17 days in transit, which covers international shipping, customs clearance and delivery to your door. Full detail is in our Shipping Policy.
Is shipping really free?
Yes. Free tracked shipping on every New Zealand order, with no minimum spend and no rural surcharge.
How do I track my order?
You'll get a tracking number by email within 24 hours of dispatch. Follow it on our Order Tracking page. Tracking often sits still for a week or so while your parcel is in international transit. That's normal.
What is your return policy?
30 days from delivery for change of mind, no restocking fee, provided the item is unused with its packaging and tags. Used pet products can't be returned for hygiene reasons. Full details are in our Refund Policy.
My item arrived faulty or damaged. What now?
Email us photos within 30 days of delivery and we'll replace it or refund you in full, your choice. In most cases you won't need to post anything back.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, within 24 hours of placing it. Just email our customer service team with your order number. After 24 hours your order has usually gone to our supplier, but you can still return it under our returns policy once it arrives.
