If you have a dog or cat that sheds, you already know the drill: fur on the couch, fur on your clothes, fur in places fur has no business being. This deshedding rake gets it at the source. Nine curved stainless steel teeth on each side of the head reach down through the top coat and lift out the loose undercoat before it ends up on your floor, and the same teeth work through small knots and tangles without pulling. The tips are rounded, so it glides over the skin rather than scratching it, and most pets settle into it within a few strokes.
The handle is the bit you notice on day three. It is soft rubber with a ridged anti slip grip, shaped so your wrist stays neutral while you work through a big double coated dog or a very patient cat. The head is wide enough to cover ground on a Labrador but light enough to use on a kitten. Fur comes off the teeth with a quick wipe, and there is a hole in the base so it can hang with the leads.
Suits medium and long coats especially well, from Golden Retrievers, Border Collies and Huskies to Ragdolls, Persians and any moggy with a thick undercoat. Short coated dogs get a benefit too, particularly during moulting season.
How to use: brush in the direction of the coat with light pressure, a section at a time. For knots, hold the fur at the base with your other hand and work the rake through from the ends. Keep sessions short at first so your pet learns to enjoy it.
Care: pull fur from the teeth after use and wipe the head with a dry cloth. Rinse and dry fully if it gets wet to keep the steel bright.

Will it hurt my pet?
Used as directed, no. The teeth have rounded tips and the rake is designed to glide over the skin while catching loose undercoat. Use light pressure, brush with the direction of the coat and keep early sessions short. Never force the rake through a tight mat; hold the fur at the base and work from the ends.
Which coats does it suit?
It works best on medium and long coats with an undercoat, such as Golden Retrievers, Labradors, Border Collies, Huskies, German Shepherds, Ragdolls and Persians. Short coated dogs and cats still benefit during moulting season. It is not intended for very fine single coats.
How do I clean it?
Pull the collected fur off the teeth after each use and wipe the head with a dry cloth. If it gets wet, rinse and dry it fully before storing so the steel stays bright.
How long until my order arrives?

My item arrived faulty or damaged. What now?
Email us photos within 30 days of delivery and we'll replace it or refund you in full, your choice. In most cases you won't need to post anything back.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, within 24 hours of placing it. Just email our customer service team with your order number. After 24 hours your order has usually gone to our supplier, but you can still return it under our returns policy once it arrives.
